Susan McLeod...Orchestra of One, has entertained audiences as a professional musician for over twenty-five years. As a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Susan's passion for performing music is exemplified through her multi-instrumental original arrangements of music from all genres. Referred to as an "Orchestra of One", her innovative music is the result of integrating the acoustical accordion with state-of-the-art music technology. The instrumentation within Susan's arrangements include, but are not limited to, keyboards, brass, strings, bass and percussion, which emulates a multiple piece band or orchestra. Her song selections are originally arranged and performed live in "real-time" without the use of pre-recorded music or downloaded MIDI files. The culmination of these uniquely combined elements are presented to audiences through the unsurpassed audio quality of her self-contained BOSE® L1™ amplification system.
Susan's incomparable multi-instrumental arrangements encompass a wide variety of musical genres from standards to contemporary. Her customizable repertoire of music provides the perfect ambiance to compliment any type of event including restaurants, weddings, private parties, cocktail hours, holiday parties, fundraising events, assisted living and senior centers, art gallery openings, corporate events, wine tasting events, anniversary parties, film/television, and cruises.
During her youth...Susan studied and performed classical music throughout greater Providence with several prominent teachers, including Tulio Gasperini and Lou Ludovico. While competing as a virtuoso soloist, she was awarded 1st Place in the Rhode Island State Championship competition, in addition to receiving numerous other state, regional and national awards!
Throughout her young adulthood...Susan was a member of several highly successful contemporary bands performing throughout New England, including Bill Rossi's - All in the Family, and appeared regularly at the infamous landmark hotel Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI.
Currently...as an Incomparable Orchestra of One...Susan provides music for all occasions, from all genres. Some of her public appearances, include performing at the Providence Waterfire, The Wickford Art Festival and East Greenwich "Main Street Stroll".
